Good overview. Having used HEC-RAS a half-dozen times, and modeled streams in NJ with a "home-grown" computer model, any model still has to be input with data that reflects the real-life situations and this is well-stated. However, I think there are many other situations that may be encountered and not fully explored in the course, but they are perhaps beyond its scope.
One other comment: I did not agree with the Manning's values selected for example channels shown, but that is subjective after all.

As a new comer to HEC-RAS, I found the material to be easy to understand. The focus on application of HEC-RAS was definitely appreciated.
The screen shots from HEC-RAS were hard to read (even when zoomed in). I would have liked to see discussion on common errors found when inputing data into the program but I suspect that would be covered in the help manual.
