Julie Coco, PE, CPESC is a Stormwater Management Engineer licensed in North Carolina and Louisiana. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Louisiana Tech University. Mrs. Coco’s career includes seventeen years of experience in state government and the private sector as a design and regulatory engineer, consulting engineer, project manager, and business owner. Integra ESS, PLLC specializes in stormwater management consulting. Services include erosion control plan preparation and NPDES permitting assistance, erosion control inspections, stormwater management designs (structural and non-structural), post-construction stormwater control measure inspections, and GIS analyses.
Mrs. Coco has linked her engineering career to Geographical Information Science, and since 2004, has used this technology to assist in hydrological studies, NEPA environmental planning documents, and erosion and water quality modeling. She has taken numerous GIS courses from ESRI certified instructors. Mrs. Coco achieved a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems at North Carolina State University to formalize her education in the science. She holds a subscription to ArcGIS Online, along with an ArcGIS license.
In conjunction with her practice, Mrs. Coco has taken ethics training in every year since having been licensed. She is familiar with the codes of conduct expected of professionals at the national level, and the rules developed by engineering and surveying boards at her respective state levels, as a result. Mrs. Coco has been in responsible charge of numerous projects over her career, where decisions were made with respect to public safety, client satisfaction, and to sealing plans. Board rules and model laws are an integral part of her firm’s practice in dealing with clients and the public.
Besides her SunCam courses, Mrs. Coco authored a previous article for a local trade association magazine on the history of concrete drainage structures used in transportation.
