Jeffrey K. Welch, P.E. is the owner and President of Welch Engineering Corporation in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl. WEC is a consultancy that specializes in refrigeration equipment application issues, spreadsheet analysis and technical writing and teaching for the industrial refrigeration industry.
Jeff's career started in the Air Conditioning industry in 1979 and segued to the Industrial Refrigeration industry two years later. His experience is in the sales and application of industrial refrigeration equipment for both food storage and processing as well as process refrigeration for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. He has authored and presented numerous refrigeration system design technical papers in the US and abroad. He is a past chairman of the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR) and is a member of ASHRAE, RETA and IoR — (UK). He is a licensed mechanical PE in Florida and has a BSME from the University of Maine.
When not chasing BTU's, Jeff will most likely be with Nancy and on a boat.
