Dr. John S. Seybold is an adjunct faculty in the ECE department. He received his BSEE from the University of Wisconsin in 1982, MSEE from California State University, Fullerton in 1986 and Ph.D. from the University of Central Florida in 1995. Dr. Seybold is a Communication Systems Engineer at Harris Corporation in Melbourne, Florida where his interests include aviation communications, cosite interference analysis and mitigation, antennas and RF propagation. Prior to joining Harris, he was an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida where he also served as the Associate Director of the Wireless Center of Excellence. Currently he serves on the ECE advisory board. Dr. Seybold has held a variety of industry positions in his career, has many published papers, holds five patents and has authored a text book entitled "Introduction to RF Propagation", John Wiley & Sons, Inc. He has been a licensed professional engineer in the state of Florida since 1998, is a senior member of the IEEE and a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu.
