The information presented is clear, concise and a good primer on the subject. It compares very favorably with in-person continuing education classes done by a major university school of engineering I have attended. The information on snow melt issues will not help me in the work I do for my clients, but it was interesting. It’s good to occasionally think about things one is not ordinarily exposed to.

Would be appropriate to note that percent removal is an outdated methodology; effluent concentration has been recommended by International BMP Database project for over 10 years. Also, an additional benefit of extended detention is stream erosion control, or control of "channel forming flows."

Refer to pg 5. Some jurisdictions require min depth water in detention basin, surface of which will be lowest orifice of controlled outlet. This type of basin does provide removal of TSS and peak Q attenuation, while infiltration is not ac onsideration.
