Ah, now for the gray areas. I liked this and while I agree with the answers 40 years of working closely with attorneys teach me that there is an argument for some interpretations that don't directly agree with these. Ethics are not situational.

Good, basic review of the NSPE Code of Ethics and interesting case studies. Was glad to hear about the court decision regarding competitive bidding for design services. I always thought it was a strange stance for NSPE to take on ethical grounds, though I certainly understand it on the grounds of promoting qualifications over low price.

Not a simple check-in-the-box without any thinking, but no trick questions either. Provides excellent examples that may seem 'gray' versus 'black and white' on first inspection, but which have clear answers when considered in the light of the Code.

The course is somewhat confusing. Example: p8, para. 5 says (Supreme Ct.) says boards may prohibit competitive bidding. Why am I confused?
This was the NSPE Executive Committee's effort to "correct misunderstandings" but it seems to have done the opposite.
