Good and concise explanations as well as graphics. However, I don't believe the diagram in the one test test showing the field weld symbol pointing to the right (when the tail is on the left) is correct per AISC/AWS standards. I believe the field weld symbol should always be oriented to point to the tail of the weld, but that may only apply for AISC.
