An adequate review for an electrical engineer who rarely has to use this type of analysis. It gave me an opportunity to delve back into my mechanics of materials and statics textbooks. In my work the questions of shear stresses on bolts comes up more than anything. Good references back to the questions about degree of accuracy also. Thank you.

Overall a very good course for review. Main complaint is seemingly over emphasis on significant figures. For problem six there were four answer choices, 290.00, 288.75, 288.8 and 289. . . . This is really nit-picking and it is the only problem I got wrong otherwise I would have made 100% .

261-What Every Engineer Should Know About Structures - Part C - Axial Strength of Materials I enjoyed taking this course. When I take these courses, particularly the structurally related ones, I earnestly try to get a 100%, but usually I manage to skew up a question or so. For this course I got one wrong because I miss-marked the answer ... just like the old days. When am I gonna learn? Regarding the course, it is a nice summary of things that I have learned and if I don't know some of the items right off, the course gives me an opportunity to scrap away some of the rust.
