Its not bad but the test and lecture uses simplifications that simply are not true. For instance, "The moment generated by the couple is the same regardless of the point of reference". Only true if the point of reference is between the forces. Precision and accuracy are very important in engineering and lives can depend on it. I suggest the lecture and test be reviewed to correct inaccuracies. Another example would be that the test said newtons third law says forces come in pairs in statics. This is also not true, resultant forces come in pairs but you can have infinite forces acting on a body in statics and the result still cancels according to newtons 3rd law.

Good refresher course but have issue with Test
Test Question #16 was not clear to me (Forces can be a pair but they also must act in opposite directions)
I missed that one (the only one) because I wanted the question to be stated that Forces are Equal and Opposite which is the crust of Newtons Third Law or that for every Action there is a Reaction. The answer to that question could have been True or False.

Very enjoyable review of statics. I appreciate the tally method, which helps reduce errors. Over the years I have eveloped the habit of doing mental arithmetic, which is a very useful skill. Unfortunately, mental arithmetic bites hard when simple mistakes are made. Add, subtract; sine, cosine; clockwise, counterclockwise: all are potential traps. The tally method of disciplined accounting helps considerably.
