Good information, but this took much longer than 4 hours to complete the course. I would suggest 6pdh for this course. One of the test questions had a list of answers that made it difficult to discern the correct/desired answer as each of the choices seemed to apply.

The course material was very difficult, and was slow reading. Not that many graphics and figures to explain the concepts. It’s unlikely that I’ll take another course by Gerald Davis again. I was disappointed by the content of the course. I thought it would cover cathodic protection in more detail but it was more focused on metallurgy.

Useful review of corrosion and it's control. However, the presentation could be improved. Excessive use of run on sentences, convoluted wording, unnecessary abbreviations, and undefined words make for slow reading. Abbreviations for two words or less should never be used and are not in widespread use as the author thinks.

I only gave this course one star because zero is not an option. This is NOT a four hour course, fourty hours would be more reasonable. I am a materials engineer and familiar with the material. The material took me more than a day to get through and the test took several hours.

My interest in this subject relates to broadcast facilities - galvanized and painted towers, grounding for lightning protection, for primary power and for the buried copper wires that extend radially from AM radio towers. This course was very instructive, and it demonstrated to me that corrosion control is a very involved field of study.

I am a nuclear engineer involved in aging management and life cycle analysis of the aging fleet. Corrosion of all types is our biggest challenge and I found this course challenging (88% on the first try). One aspect missing in the course is quantifying and measuring techniques for corrossion in order to take timely preventive or corrective action.
