I'm retired but want to keep up my licenses. The course was a good refresher for me. I haven't used the NDS tables in a long time and found then to be a lot easier than they used to be, as far as I can recall. I got a few questions wrong but passed the test anyway. My errors hit me like in the old days when I was in school, basically, "Oh yeah! How could I forget to do that?"

Great course. Common sense approach. The only thing I would like to see is more attention given to handling interference from truss plates. Sometimes they are large and may force a longer or wider repair to provide an adequate development length.

course was good, but it's overall assumption is that the member load data is available to the designer...ok for new construction, but not common for older construction. Some discussion/recommendations for cheap truss analysis tools (i.e. spreadsheets, online tools, etc) would be helpful for developing member loads from scratch...maybe this is mentioned in part 2 of this course?
