Great little courses, both part I and part II. since I don't do much in the way of wall designs (generally keeping things below 4 feet), these provided a great lesson in what really goes into this subject (and how your run-of-the-mill site/civil should probably know his boundaries)

The course content was generally good, but there were a few omissions. No mention was made of the bottom reinforcement layer in the discussion on internal sliding. The illustration showing the angle of the internal failure plane was ambiguous. The angle is above the horizontal, which could be illustrated with an arc and arrow instead of just an arrow. As in Course 115, there were numerous typos that did not affect but just indicated lack of a good proof-reader.

Like most courses i have taken from Suncam, this one goes into just the right amount of overview and detail. It presents a good overview of all that enters into designing a MSE wall, while realizing the intent is not to try and present an entire college course. Only negative comment is that author allows some personal bias to enter into some statements on things such as responsibility, quality of software, etc.

Another Excellent MSE Course
A direct continuation of the first. Many good fundamentals. No calculations - a shortcoming. Evidently, Part 3 is where the calcs are. I have yet to take that part.

Again, this course pulls together some very specific and valuable information that would be difficult and time-consuming to find elsewhere.
One question about the course document:
On page 9 of 25, first paragraph. "This distance is typically equal to or greater than twice the height of the lowest wall and the lowest wall the tallest." My question is that, in the 2 graphics below, the setback distance is equal to the height of the lower wall, not twice that length. Also, it might be clearer to say "...with the lowest wall being tallest."
