5 out of 5. Good info on transformers. Some equations could use an update to show exponents correctly raised in text (page 11).

This was a course that I really learned some important concepts about electricity.
In the "Symbol Index" the Greek symbol for PHI is introduced for magnetic flux. On formula 10 on page 10 of the lesson, the Greek symbol for THETA was used. On the test, question No. 4 used PHI was used in lieu of THETA. I followed the formula 10 (THETA) which I interpreted as the correct answer. Using two different symbols from the lesson and test should have really made a . . . answer for question No. 4. Am I correct in this thought process?

A constructive comment: a careful proofreading of the course is needed. Several examples include: pg.15, in example 1, the calculation contains a 'z' instead of an '=' sign; page 17 the values in the impedance calculation appear reversed; consistent labeling of the terms in the illustrations/examples/equations.

OK course. The test questions do not align with the figures, and the rating of a transformer is not necessarily based on the noted current flowing through it (#14), it should say rated I1=5 Amps.

While the course gave a good introduction to transformers, there should have been an explanation (legend) for the letters used to denote currents and voltages. The text and figures in Section do not align.

The course is thorough, but I prefer a course that is more holistic in nature. Take an input, say 160 KVA, a common high voltage line, do a step down to a distribution center then to a factory that uses 480. Now talk about what happens when you have delta and wye connections. Show how changing one or the other affects the current and efficiency. As is, the course covers this, but it is in independent packages
