This course is meant to help you learn and understand the rules that affect you as a professional engineer. The focus of this course is to target recently updated Laws and Rules for the state of Florida. In the past biennium, fire protection engineering rules have been updated. The purpose of these updates is to clarify ambiguous items, establish consistency between the rules and other statutes, and reduce unnecessary work by engineers and contractors.
This course includes wording directly from the Florida Administrative Code Chapter 61G15. This course features the entire chapter. Highlighted text shows updated portions of the rules. Text crossed out shows text removed in the updates. Other updates and commentary from the Board Rules Committee Minutes will be included as well.
This course ends with a sample of recent Disciplinary Cases brought before the board, and their applicable law references.
