The text needs to be revised to define what is meant qualitatively by just slightly higher so that question 14 can be answered definitively. As it stands, 10.6 can be considered just slightly higher than 10, in that it is just 6% higher than 10, and 6% is typically within engineering accuracy.

Overall a good summary of the topic, from a 25 year veteran. However, there were a few errors such as 3% instead of 3 deg in the section of defining system design temps. Plus, I disagree with selecting a 12.5 ton system for a 10.6 ton load, but that's a personal preference.

The HVAC Design fundamentals is excellent discussion of the subject matter. The one "issue" I experienced was a test question about diffusers, (not really an issue but suggestion). The intent of the question was related to design drawings, and not the installation. Clarification of the question would be good.

I think this is a good exercise in reinforcing the fundamentals we are given in practicing the mechanical engineering profession, particularly within the HVAC discipline. The questions prompts one to dig into the provided material to insure that all aspects of the questions are covered. Good fundamental exercise.

This is a good overview course suitable for professional disciplines other than mechanical engineers in the HVAC design business. It is a little light for them, but enlightening for others including architects. It gives a good overall perspective to the HVAC design process including development of working drawings with some insight on where to find additional resources for those wishing to explore the topic in more depth.
